Jackie O’s taproom is one of my favorite stops for a low key drink in Athens, OH. It’s located off the main streets for a more hometown feel. They serve tons of local brews as well as wines and lower proof drinks for patrons looking for anything other than beer. I’d highly recommend the location. They have plenty of off street parking as well as super clean restrooms. The staff is always friendly and attentive to your needs. They have tasty cakes, cookie treats and cold sandwiches for a quick bite also. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as they are dog friendly.
A fantastic Brewery in Southern Ohio.
We had a beer tasting from them while staying at Ravenwood and the next day swung by their taproom .
They have a large variety of different beers, which is great, there is definitely something for everyone.
Their sours and lighter beers are all wonderful. We found their barrel aged beers to be too sweet and syrupy for our liking, but there were still complex and interesting.
They had nice treats and the spicy cashews that came with our flights were awesome.
They have a little shop with shirts and hats as well as many beers to go in cans or bombers. They also sell growlers.

What a chill and wonderful place. The staff is so AWESOME!! Very knowledgeable about the beer on tap and gave GREAT suggestions. I loved there sour beers but my favorite is there Pipapo (marzen lager) which was a stand out for me. I got a sixer of "Deck the Hills" to go (there Xmas ale) because they opened a can and let me try it and it was a great classic beer with a great twist of flavors. I had to get a flight to end the experience and you can get up to 6, 4oz pours of beer (great deal by the way). all in all an incredible experience at a brewery in Athens, OH and I hope I get to go again soon.

It has been a couple years since I have made it back to Athens. Jackie O has made some changes to their facility addition in back a patio and added taps. Looks awesome and tje beer tastes great as always.
Great casual atmosphere and wonderful beer. Staff is quick and helpful, and they have tasting flights if you're not sure what you want. Can order online at table or at bar. I visited on Barleywine Day, and their barleywines are delicious.
If you want a good craft beer this is the place to go. It's a new year and new servers. Come in for a great time
It's a nice tap room and if you love Bourbon barrel aged beers they've got your fill. My only complaint was the parking lot. It's kind of hard to find.
A craft brewery in a college town. Maybe not ideal for the average college student (wish I had taken advantage of this gem while I was a student), but perfect for OU alumni who appreciate a wide range of craft brews. The food here is also superb, but it can get backed up quick even with a small crowd. This is a worth a stop, even if you’ve been to the full-service restaurant/bar.
